	My village is nikawewa. It is a small in the Kurunegala District. There  are nearly one hundred families in my village. This is an agricultural area. Most of the villagers are farmers. They grow paddy, fruits and vegetables. They take their produce to the village fair. There is a vast stretch of paddy fields in my village. Farmers obtain water from the village tank for their cultivation purposes. There is a  co-operative shop , a rural bank, a sub office and a historical temple in my village. There are several government servants too here. Most of them are teachers. There is a Rural development society and a Death donation society in my village. The villagers are very friendly. They know the value of self help. My village comes under the purview of the Polpithigama Pradeshiya sabha. The Kurunegala-Anuradapura main road runs through this village. Villages live happily and peacefully.                                     I Love my village.
